I'M MADDY, A JEWELLER FROM SOMERSET AND THE FOUNDER OF FOSSE.
Fosse was born from a desire to build a life aligned with my values. One grounded in creativity, care, and connection. It brings together everything I love: the freedom of design, the quiet skill of making, the joy of teaching, and the depth of human connection.
I am sharing my process openly, making by hand with intention, and inviting others to slow down, explore, and reconnect with themselves through wax carving workshops. It’s a personal journey, and one I hope resonates with others seeking meaning, beauty, and community in the things they make and wear.
VALUES
DESIGN
Design is where everything begins. With a background in fashion, I’m drawn to how jewellery interacts with the body, moves with us, and tells a story. I see each piece as wearable sculpture, something that feels good to touch, with weight, texture, and meaning. Jewellery should make you feel something. Each piece is handmade in the UK, crafted slowly and intentionally.
TEACHING
I run workshops grounded in my experience as a teacher and creative educator. I believe making can calm the nervous system, reconnect us with ourselves, and invite play, especially for adults rediscovering their creativity.
REGENERATIVE
MATERIAL
PRACTICE
I am continually exploring how my material choices can reflect a more responsible and regenerative approach to making. This includes researching alternatives to traditional waxes, working with recycled and traceable metals, and considering how each stage of the process can minimise waste and environmental impact. I see this as an evolving practice, one rooted in curiosity, care, and accountability, where I am actively seeking ways to create jewellery that not only treads lightly, but contributes positively over time.
CONNECTION
This practice is about more than jewellery - it's about building a creative life. I’m here to connect with open-hearted, value-driven people and collaborate in ways that feel real and energising. Community is my foundation.
